So a friend asked me recently how to animate a jumping pony, so i went off on one in my stream on the basics of animation and how to go about a jump, with some examples. I just now opened Flash to find that the program had for some reason RECOVERED the file I threw away… so I figure I’ll post it here.

And here is the sourcefile! Which you may use ONLY for reference, please. It’s anything but perfect as I had to throw it together superfast on stream.

Finally finished. This was a little more than I usually charge due to the turret; was worried it might not come out well and I’d end up spending so much time on it that it I started to hate it.

I had no such troubles, thankfully.

things I’m doing:

• Using my flat’s heating, electricity and internet*
• expending energy gained from food i had to pay for and prepare
• getting annoyed at details, having to learn new techniques or how to draw new guns or poses

things I’m not doing:

• Getting younger
  
• socialising with friends
• a day job or part time job
• my university classwork
• “drawing for fun”
• getting paid enough for time spent**

Just saying.

*and sitting in that flat I have to pay for
**or even the legal minimum wage for my country.
